Configuration

config/cobbletasks.json is created with defaults on first run. It is read at startup and again on every /reload. A changed task count is applied to the current day or week too: extra tasks are dropped from the end, missing ones are drawn from the pool.

notificationstrueChat messages and sounds for finished tasks, new rotations, events and unclaimed rewards on login. false turns both off for everyone.
notification_soundstrueThe sounds that go with those messages. false keeps the messages and silences the sounds for everyone.

The task screen has three small switches next to the claim button: the progress toast, chat messages and sounds. They are saved in the player’s own config/cobbletasks-client.json and sent to the server when joining and whenever one changes, so the server does not send what a player turned off. A switch that is off in the server config stays off for everyone, whatever the player chose.

KeyDefaultDescription
progress_toaststrueThe progress toast when a task moves.
chat_messagestrueChat messages for finished tasks, new tasks, events and reminders.
soundstrueThe sounds that go with those messages.
